Journey through the mystical Spiti Valley, one of the coldest inhabited places in India with ancient monasteries and breathtaking landscapes.
Arrival at Chandigarh Airport, and proceed to Sarahan – The Valley of Apples. On reaching in Rampur visit the exquisite palace of erstwhile Maharajah of Rampur Bushair, explore the town and then leave for the beautiful village of sarahan, perched High above the river Sutlej, sarahan is steeped in legend, hill architecture and the remarkable natural beauty, orchards and small villages. Stay overnight at Sarahan.
After breakfast visit to Bhimakali Temple, it is revered as one of the fifty one Shaktipeeth. After visitng Holy Temple, start your journey towards Sangla Valley which is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. It is supposed to be one of the most beautiful valleys in the country. In Tibetan, the term Sangala means “Pass of Light” which refers to the valley receiving plenty of sunlight during the day.
Morning after breakfast proceeds for Tabo & visit Nako on the way. Nako Lake, this is one of Kinnaur`s most picturesque hamlets, Nako is slated to be declared a heritage village build around a small lake and has an important Buddhist Gompa and a small temples, A footprint like impression on a rock is ascribed to the saint Guru Padmasambhava. Stay overnight at Tabo.
After Breakfast check out & visit Tabo. There is modern gompa and painting school founded by the Dalai Lama. Even Today Tabo holds the distinction of being the largest monastic complex in Spiti, constructed in 996 AD. Then leave for Kaza, visiting Dhankar Monastery & Dhankar Lake on the way. Stay overnight at Kaza.
After Breakfast leave for Kaza Sightseeing by visiting Ki Monastery & Gete Village (Highest Motorable Connected Road in World) & Kibber Village for the ancient monastery built on what is believed to be having a crater of an extinct Volcano. The Gompa situated above the village is one of the best preserved in the region. On the return journey to Kaza you are rewarded with some excellent views of the Damul Village.
Today after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive back towards Kalpa. On arrival, check into the hotel & visit Kalpa. Kalpa, facing Jorkanden and The Kinner Kailash Peaks, considered as one of the mythical homes of Lord Shiva and by its side is a seventy nine feet rock formation that resembles a Shivalinga that changes the color as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. Stay overnight at Kalpa.
After breakfast start your journey towards Shimla. On arrival, check into the hotel. Have dinner & overnight stay at hotel.
Today morning after breakfast leave for Chandigarh. Drop at Railway station or Airport. Journey ends here.
